Part One

For our newest collection under Ahwē Aimée, we returned to our earliest loves, literature and fine art.

Drawn from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, this collection translates the world of the play into wearable form. The five days of the love story, and the textures of the world it happened inside. The velvet, the night sky, the vow held before it is spoken, the flower that contains both poison and medicine in the same rind.

Seven pieces each anchored to a specific scene, a specific voice, and a specific moment in the play. Together they move from first meeting to darkness chosen as shelter — tracing the arc of a love that armoured itself against an already-written ending.
